The horizontal Herald Trumpet was contracted in 1981 from Schoenstein & Co., and was first played Christmas 1983 by organist Wilbur Russell. In 1984, Schoenstein installed a two-manual chancel organ, playable from the A-S gallery console via the added blind combination system. The chancel organ was first used Easter 1984. The Positiv is the first Rueckpositiv in the San Francisco Bay Area. It is placed on the gallery rail, has a wooden back wall with slight case-like protrusions. Its smallest pipes are at front (nearest congregation), largest at back. The Unenclosed Great and Pedal located at the center of the main part of the organ, in exposed display. The Swell is to the left, Enclosed Great to the right, with the bass of the Pedal Principal in front of these boxes. The Great Principal chorus is of high tin alloy, except for zinc basses. The added Herald Trumpet is laid horizontally on the roofs of the Great and Swell boxes, mostly out of view. It is on high pressure, and does not couple. It can be played on the Great manual only by drawing the duplex of this stop on the chancel Great console. The spex of the Schoenstein chancel organ will be posted separately. ------------------------------
