  Materials:      The organ is located in the Great Hall of the house. A
                  large chamber at the south end houses the Great, Choir,
                  Swell, Solo, String and Pedal divisions. The Antiphonal
                  division is at the opposite end of the room, at the
                  third floor level. The Echo division is in the basement
                  and speaks into the room through the base of the
                  firewood chest, an antique German chest whose bottom
                  has a crank-operated elevator installed in it for
                  raising firewood from the basement. The Echo shutters
                  open into this elevator shaft.

History:          Although the first contract was signed in 1924,
                  constant additions were made through 1927.  The console
                  grew from three to four manuals, and preparations were
                  made in the console for a Vibrato Organ, Vox Humana
                  Choir and 32' Bombarde.  Since the manor house was
                  donated to the Methodist Church Foundation for use as
                  a nursing home in 1960s, monies have been hard to come
                  by for historical restorative work.  In the past the
                  original relays were replaced by Klann relays; the
                  original combination machine was disconnected and
                  home-made setter boards installed.
